Situated in the heart of the charming market town of Kirkby Stephen. 30 minutes drive from Kendal and Ullswater and only 7 miles from the Dales National Park.

Bakehouse Cottage is a cosy 2 bedroom cottage that is situated in the heart of the quaint market town of Kirkby Stephen. You can relax and unwind in front of the open fire or walk to the handful of pubs, restaurants, shops and cafes which are all within a minutes’ walk. In addition to the attractions of the Eden Valley itself, it is very convenient to both the Eastern Lakes (Kendal and Ullswater about 30mins) and to the Yorkshire Dales (the Dales National Park being only 7 miles away). The surrounding area is excellent walking country. The ‘Coast to Coast’ path passes through Kirkby Stephen and past Bakehouse Cottage. The cottage is in a little square tucked behind the Parish Church; known as the Cathedral of the Dales. The 2 bedroom cottage can sleep up to 4 persons: Bedroom 1: Larger double aspect room with double bed and ample clothes storage space. Alarm clock and electric blanket (if required). Bedroom 2: Double bed with wardrobe. Bathroom: Fully fitted bathroom with bath and demand shower. Living Room: Cosy but spacious living room with a working open fire (bring own fuel), 2 double sofas, hi-fi (with mp3 cable), television and dvd player. The bookcase contains a few dvds, cds and board games. Kitchen: Tastefully refurbished kitchen with traditional granite work tops, electric range cooker, extractor, microwave, fridge/freezer, radio/cd player and washing machine. The table seats 4 or 6 if it is extended. There is ample cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment for 6 people. Bed linen or towels are not provided so please bring your own. There are duvets and plenty of pillows and blankets. There are no cots, stair gates, fire guards nor high chairs available for young children. Well behaved pets are allowed.

Garden / Grounds:
There is no garden but you can walk to the open countryside within minutes.
