Buttercombe Barton, an old Manor Farm is an idyllic small country estate in North Devon with two stylish and comfortable holiday cottages, Swallow and Tawny. Swallow has an open plan living area on the first floor overlooking a gated Victorian walled garden for exclusive use by Swallow’s guests. The double bedroom has an en suite bathroom. One of the twin rooms contains full sized bunk beds. Tawny also has an open plan living area on the ground floor, its own private garden with views across the valley and a family bathroom with separate bath and shower. Both cottages are centrally heated. Heating, lighting, bed linen, towels and a freshly baked sponge to greet guests on arrival are included in the rental fee. A cot, highchair and stairgate are also included in the price if required. Swallow and Tawny Cottages are only three miles from the glorious beaches of Woolacombe, Putsborough and Ilfracombe. The cottages can be booked separately or together for a dual family holiday. Buttercombe is open from mid-March to early November. Each cottage has its own private garden. In addition guests have complete access to a further 17 acres of formal gardens, woodland and meadows in which to walk and picnic.

Woolacombe (surfing and sandcastle building), Mortehoe and Ilfracombe beaches are within 3 miles of Buttercombe. North Devon offers superb walking along the coastal footpath, over Exmoor and the Tarka Trail footpath along river estuaries from Braunton to Great Torrington.There are many delightful coastal resorts and villages including Lynmouth, Lee Bay, Combe Martin, Croyde, Barnstaple, Bideford and Clovelly.
