Crook Cottage

Crook Cottage is just a stone's throw from the sea, with uninterrupted views of Loch Geocrab and beyond.

Crook Cottage dates back to the early 1900s and is a traditionally built hebridean stone croft house. Its name derives from the hand-crafted shepherd's crook which was recently discovered within the walls of the kitchen. The property has recently been sympathetically renovated and provides comfortable, modern accommodation for couples and families. The ground floor comprises a large newly fitted kitchen/diner with range cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Windows to the front aspect offer stunning views across the bay. The lounge sites a large wrought-iron open fireplace and two large 3-seater sofas. The window seat also offers beautiful views of Loch Geocrab. Freeview and DVD player with a small selection of DVDs are available. The first floor comprises two spacious double bedrooms, both with uninterrupted views accross the loch from the large windows. Two further single fold-out beds make accommodation more flexible. A travel cot is also available for infants. The bathroom houses a shower over a long and deep tub, perfect for soaking in after a day's walk. There is also an electric shaving point. A separate toilet and wash-basin is across the landing.

Views, wildlife and local environment:
Experience the beauty of the Isle of Harris from this bay-side retreat on the east coast of the island. Wildlife enthusiasts can revel in the sea bird and mammal activity from the comfort of the large window seats looking across the loch.
