Castle Acre has a local pub in the village along with tea rooms, convenience store/post office and several small shops. The clean and shallow River Nar is a five minute walk from Castle Acre Holiday Cottage down the hill to the ford, and great for paddling on hot summer days. Castle Acre Priory, Bailey Gate and Castle Acre Priory are all in very close proximity to the cottage.
