Surely the ultimate in romantic hideaway cottages. Situated on a quiet hill farm in Cotswold Country near Chalford. Jackdaw is 400 meters from the farmhouse down a farm track. The living room with staircase, kitchen, and second bedroom are on the ground floor, with the main bedroom and bathroom above. Locally there are a surprising number of pubs and restaurants with menus ranging from 'cordon bleu' to 'bangers & mash'.
Garden / Grounds:
There is a small paved yard in the front enclosed by a stone wall. Badgers have been regular evening visitors for the last five years and expect to be fed.
Views, wildlife and local environment:
Rural views as good as any in England. The Cotswold village of Oakridge lies just accross the valley, the unique village of Chalford is a mile, and Cirencester and Stroud are just fifteen minutes drive. As well as the badgers, buzzards and foxes are also common visitors, and there are numerous deer in the viscinity.
