Luxury conversion of 19th century monastery on the shores of Loch Ness

The Monastery Tower is a stunning one bedroom apartment in the converted tower of the old monastery, part of the Highland Club development of the Abbey at Fort Augustus. Fort Augustus is a pretty little town between Inverness and Fort William. The Highland Club is on the shores of Loch Ness and the Monastery Tower offers fantastic uninterrupted views of the Loch. The flat is situated at the top of the staircase off the cloisters. The open plan living / dining area has lovely panoramic views of Loch Ness. There is a large sofa and oak furniture. There is freeview, a flat screen tv and a range of DVDs. The kitchen has a granite worksurface, dishwasher, gas hob, fan oven, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer. On the floor above, the romantic master bedroom has a wrought iron king size bed, fitted wardrobes and a television, also with freeview and a DVD player. Next to the bedroom there is a bathroom with shower over and classic quatrefoil windows looking out over the beautiful scenery. There is a separate cloakroom on the floor below. The tower is decorated to a high standard throughout and is a perfect place to escape. The Highland Club itself is a luxury redevelopment of a nineteeth century monastery on the shores of Loch Ness. The facilities available to guests include a club lounge with full size snooker table and table football, tennis courts, children's climbing frame and croquet lawn. By the end of 2012, the swimming pool and spa should also be complete.

Garden / Grounds:
Landscaped gardens surround the Monastery Tower and lead directly down to the water's edge. In the centre of the cloisters there is also an over-sized draughts board.

Views, wildlife and local environment:
