Penyrallt Fach Holiday Cottage

Wales: Carmarthenshire: Llandysul

Perfectly situated for visiting the glorious coastline of Cardigan Bay, the Cambrian Mountains and the spectacular scenery of Pembrokeshire and the coast-path of the Pembrokeshire National Park.

Come & stay in this listed 19th century piggery and enjoy a rural retreat on an organic dairy farm in beautiful West Wales. The cottage provides comfortable, traditional style accommodation with exposed beams, wood floors & a wood-burning stove to relax in front of, after long days on the beach or walking in the hills. The fully-equipped open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room is comfortably furnished witha farmhouse table, sofa and easy chairs. There is a large selection of books, board-games and dvds., though no tv. reception, making this a perfect escape from the hustle & bustle of real life. The two bedrooms are simply and attractively furnished with wooden beds made on the farm and pretty quilts and vintage Welsh wool blankets. There is a small farm shop supplying home-reared beef, lamb, free-range eggs and sundry organic groceries.Visitors to the farm are welcome to walk around the fields and woods and to see the day-to-day running of the farm.See our Farm Blog; http://farmlifeinwales.blogspot.com

Garden / Grounds:
Surrounded by a lawn and overlooking a paddock with a large pond. The farmland is pasture and woodland set on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Teifi Valley of Carmarthenshire.

Views, wildlife and local environment:
Wildlife abounds, with resident badgers, foxes, owls, bats and otters. On the farm's three ponds we have seen kingfishers, herons, wild duck and geese. Lapwings occasionally fly over and red kites are often seen, as are buzzards and sparrowhawks. Many wild flowers can be found in Spring and Summer in the fields and hidden corners of the farm
