The Barn Apartment is a one double bedroom apartment for two persons. It is situated in a late 19th century refurbished barn in the south Durham village of West Auckland. The apartment is situated above the Sir Thomas’ Tearoom, which is run by the owners. Visitors can enjoy discounted use of the Tearoom. The apartment has its own separate entrance to the rear of the barn. The recent refurbishment has been to a high standard and provides a fully tiled bathroom with shower over bath. The living area features a modern fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar. The spacious lounge area provides comfortable seating and digital TV with full Freeview facilities. The village of West Auckland, a former mining village, nestles in the Wear Valley, and is the home of the first Football World Cup.
