Situated in an idyllic location on a quiet country lane 1 1/4 miles from the village in Dartmoor National Park

A granite built detached property in an idyllic location with stunning views of Hamel Down situated within 3 acres of the owners land. 1 1/4 miles from the village of Widecombe in the Moor with 2 traditional pubs, cafes, gift shops, and general store. Sleeps 2 -5 people and a pet is welcome at a doggy price of 10. Large first floor sitting room furnished with two comfy sofas TV, DVD and wood burning stove. Fully fitted downstairs kitchen, electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer. Downstairs dining hall and bathroom with white suite and mixer shower. Upstairs, as well as the sitting room there is a double bedroom with views, a pretty single bedroom and a third bedroom with bunk beds which is ideal as another single room or for 2 children. Bed linen is provide, but we do ask guests to bring their own towels. Parking for 2 cars. Garden adjacent to property for guest's use, having swings, slide and seating area. There are several walks direct from the cottage, and the village is within walking distance enabling you to leave your vehicle behind. The tennis courts in the village may be used by visitors using our membership. Pony trekking is available at local stables and Widecombe has a colourful monthly market selling local produce including home made cakes, local beef, lamb, pork and sausages.

Garden / Grounds:
Three acres of grounds with a garden for exclusive use of guests. Parking for 2 cars. Our free range chickens and hens roam the grounds, and we have two horses in the paddock.

Views, wildlife and local environment:
In the heart of the Dartmoor National Park where the public have rights to roam to their heart's content amongst the sheep, cattle, and wild ponies who sometimes end up in our garden! English countryside at it's absolute best.
