Throstle Nest Cottage is situated in a remote location in the heart of Littlebeck Dale, near Sleights, 5 miles from Whitby.
Throstle Nest Cottage is an ideal rural retreat for couples with village amenities in Sleights only 2 miles away. It is a comfortable, well-equipped cottage providing a great base for walking/driving to explore this spectacular area of the countryside. Ideally located closed to the North York Moors and within easy reach of the dramatic East Yorkshire coastline. There are excellent walks from the property, with maps, guide books and suggested itineraries provided for guests. The single storey cottage comprises a cosy lounge; small fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave and fridge; spacious double bedroom, and new en-suite bathroom with 'p' shaped shower bath, basin, toilet and large electric towel radiator. Oil central heating in the lounge and bedroom. Prices range from £190 to £340 per week. Short breaks are also available. Prices are inclusive of all fuel and power, bed linen and towels. Please note that access is via a country lane and 2 fords over the beck, and in very wet weather cars may need to be left 0.25 miles from the property due to high water levels in the fords.

The cottage has a small private garden with secluded patio area and garden furniture. Enjoy sitting with a glass of wine, listening to the relaxing sound of the river and birds.
Views, wildlife and local environment:
Set deep in the countryside watch out for the wildlife. A bird feeder outside the kitchen window encourages lots of different birds including woodpeckers and nut hatches. Lie awake at night and listen for the owls, whilst gazing at the stars. A magical place to stay.
