The heart of Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood Country
Woodman's Cottage is an ideal base for exploring Sherwood Forest and the Dukeries. Originally built in the mid 1800s by William Henry Cavendish-Scott-Bentinck, the 4th Duke of Portland, for Workers on his Welbeck Estate the cottage was tastefully restored in 2009 and now boasts comfortable accommodation for the holidaymaker whilst still retaining many original features and authentic period details.The comfortable lounge is spacious and relaxing with a Hunter Multi-fuel Stove and comfy leather suite, flat Screen TV with Free View, ipod dock and a DVD Player. From the lounge through an open doorway and a stone step down into the kitchen/dining area which features a delightful dining area next to a feature brick faced wall which provides a quaint dining area and a great place to sit and chat whilst preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The main bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinets, dressing table, tall-boy and co-ordinated linen and curtains. The Bunk Bedroom is small with bunk beds which will accommodate two children or small adults i.e. not large. The bathroom features a modern free standing bath, designer glass pedestal basin and close coupled WC, mirror and shaver point, an electric towel warmer is situated in the corridor outside the bathroom. At the rear of the cottage is a private parking area.

Numerous attractions within 5 miles - Clumber Park, Rufford Abbey and Country Park, Centre Parcs, Sherwood Pines Forest Centre, Thoresby Hall and the National Cycle Route.
